Hotel Sales Executive

Our client is looking to add a Hotel Sales Executive to the team. The role is a replacement position due to internal promotion. You will become part of the sales team at the 4-star property to work in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Manager, increase revenue and maximise yield for rooms, conference and banqueting and food and beverage, ensuring budgeted sales, average room rates, and occupancy in both rooms and conference, meeting and event markets are met.

Ideal candidate:

* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably (but not exclusively) within the hotel industry.
* A proven track record in hospitality sales through the achievement of targets and budgets.
* An innate curiosity about the market and new opportunities for the hotel.
* An ability to negotiate with a commercial focus at all times.
* A full clean driving license with access to own transport is required.

Key responsibilities:

* Contribute to and implement the annual Hotel Sales and Marketing plan for rooms, food and beverage and conference and banqueting so as to maximise revenue and profitability for the hotel.
* Plan and organise schedule of sales appointments to existing and new business.
* Achieve agreed face to face weekly sales appointment targets and to achieve budgeted revenue, profitability and average room rates.
* Pro-actively manage allocated account portfolio and allocated geographical areas.
* Yield plans for peak and trough periods, competitor activity and market feedback.
* Initiate sales drives, promotions, organise and complete mailshots etc., in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Director in line with the Sales and Marketing plan.
* Entertain clients and carry out show arounds, familiarisation trips, and client entertainment as required.
* Ensure appropriate billing, credit and contract arrangements are made, in line with hotel policy, for all quotes, bookings and contracts.
* To have extensive knowledge and proactively promote Booker / Stayer Loyalty programmes and to administer in accordance with departmental standards.
