ROLE SPECIFIC DUTIES:
* Drive the overall commercial sales and performance of the Retail Store.
* Manage Performance of retail staff through effective training & feedback
* Responsible for supporting the Retail Manager in designing and maintaining high levels of merchandising in the store at all times.
* Support the Retail Manager in delivering all qualitative and financial KPI’s as set out by targets.
* Responsible for ensuring effective management of stockroom and replenishment of all front facing areas of the retail store.
* Actively coach and motivate the retail team in product knowledge of all stock items within the retail store.
* Identify and introduce new commercial and up sell opportunities within retail department.
* Seek opportunities for professional development.
* Alongside the Retail Manager, conduct monthly and annual stock takes of the retail store and stock holding, ensuring that stock loss targets are met.
COMMUNICATION:
* Delivery of informative, inspiring and motivational daily briefs to operations team.
* Feedback comments, propose training needs and operational changes in order to continually improve the delivery of the experience.
* Conduct PDR’s and colleague appraisals when required & support talent and succession planning
MANAGING RESOURCES:
* Manage the operations team and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service standards at all times.
* Ensure all operations team members have excellent presentation and appearance standards at all times.
* Complete rosters as required by Retail Manager, in a timely and cost effective manner.
* Support with accurate processing and submission of all hours for the retail team.
* Weekly rostering of crisis management team, fire marshals and trained first aid personnel.
* Support Retail Manager and wider business by proposing and supporting with cost saving methods wherever possible.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven Retail supervisory experience, minimum of 3 years
* Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate the team to achieve individual goals and team targets.
* The ability to plan and prioritise workloads and delegate accordingly
* A desire to work as part of an innovative team and develop fresh ideas
* Strong commercial awareness and customer focus
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
