Sales Consultant

Retail Security and Business Intelligence Mercury Systems is Ireland’s leading supplier of Electronic Article Surveillance, Business Intelligence, and CCTV systems. We are now recruiting a talented and driven Sales Professional to sell our range of products throughout Ireland. In this field based sales role, a track record in new business sales, and experience of selling within the Business to Business market is essential. Experience of the security industry and/or retail sector is highly desirable. As a Field Sales Consultant selling service solutions to both existing and prospective customers, you will take responsibility for sourcing new business, maximizing opportunities from the existing client base. It is essential that you possess the stamina, tenacity and hunger to fulfil a successful career in field sales and that you can demonstrate that cold calling, cross selling, up-selling and new business development are skills you naturally possess. 

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will: 

• Represent the company and brand 

• Source new leads and follow-up on leads provided by colleagues and other contacts to generate additional business and maximize company revenues 

• Follow-up potential clients to maximize the conversion rate of proposals / tenders to actual sales 

• Monitor the security market segment to identify, evaluate and develop plans to capture opportunities to expand the Company’s portfolio of products and services in that segment 

• You will develop relationships and look for opportunities to develop other areas of current client business 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience: 

• Wide experience in selling services in a competitive market segment 

• Sales experience in the electronic security industry and/or experience in the Retail sector 

• Strong communication and presentational skills; capable of communicating 'technical' concepts to a non-technical audience 

• Target driven with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets 

• Capable of implementing and maintaining a structured working environment 

• Ability to think creatively, understand customer requirements and the capability to match these to Company solutions 

• Problem solving ability 

• Results focus 

• Customer focus

• Full clean driving licence 

The position carries an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities
