Purpose of job:    

This exciting role will form an integral part of the sales team at the 4-star Hilton Dublin Kilmainham. The purpose of the role is to, in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing Manager, increase revenue and maximise yield for rooms, conference and banqueting and food and beverage, ensuring budgeted sales, average room rates, and occupancy in both rooms and conference, meeting and event markets are met.

To work with the Sales and Marketing Director and the Group Sales team, in promoting and selling the Hilton Dublin-Kilmainham. To raise the profile and to retain and maintain existing business and develop new business, resulting in increased sales.


Working Liaison:             Hotel Sales & Marketing Director, Hotel Sales team, Hotel Reservations team and Events team, Hotel General Manager, Tifco Group Sales Department.



The ideal candidate will possess:


 A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably (but not exclusively) within the hotel industry.

 A proven track record in hospitality sales through the achievement of targets and budgets.

 An innate curiosity about the market and new opportunities for the hotel.

 An ability to negotiate with a commercial focus at all times.

 A professional approach with both customers and colleagues.

 The aptitude to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

 A ‘can do’ attitude and resilience when conducting telesales and sales calls.

 A full clean driving license with access to their own transport as travel will be required for this position.




Key responsibilities:


§  To reflect and enhance the hotels’ Mission Statements’ and key passions in all activities.

§  To contribute to and implement the annual Hotel Sales and Marketing plan for rooms, food and beverage and conference and banqueting so as to maximise revenue and profitability for the hotels.

§  To plan and organise schedule of sales appointments to existing and new business customers within the corporate market sector, tour and FIT operators, consortia/travel agents, conference and incentive agents, leisure associations/organisations, airlines and any other potential clients.

§  To achieve agreed face to face weekly sales appointment targets and to achieve budgeted revenue, profitability and average room rates from the various market segments for room sales, and to achieve budgeted revenue in conference, banqueting, food and beverage segments.

§  To pro-actively manage allocated account portfolio and allocated geographical areas in accordance with departmental standards, to ensure existing customers are retained and new business identified, targeted and secured.
