The Role
You key responsibility is to build and develop our freight business here in Ireland. You will be responsible for introducing and selling our services to potential customers. The purpose of the role is to secure new business and you will work to specific targets.
You will actively seek out new business opportunities and engage with potential customers through telephone and face to face meetings (In general this is an office based position). You will develop strong business relationships with our customers to drive sales forward and meet specified revenue goals. You will work alongside the Managing director. You will have all the tools you need to perform your role from day one.
Who we are looking For
We would prefer you to have a minimum of 2-3 years freight sales experience within the Irish freight industry and have a proven track record in achieving sales targets. In particular a background and experience of a European groupage service would be a huge advantage, but is not essential. A full understanding of loading meters is essential.
You will also possess the following:
•Leaving Certificate or equivalent education standard required
•Fluency in English both spoken and written
•Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
•Full, clean Category B driving licence or equivalent
•Excellent presentation skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills
Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position will depend on your level of experience. Compass Logistics will also offer commission on all new accounts.
You will also receive:
Mileage Expenses - Although this is in general an office based position, you may from time to time need to visit a customer. Fuel/Expenses and accommodation will be paid should this situation arise.
