Job Overview:
A long established nursery in the Midlands is looking for an enthusiastic sales person to promote their Specialist Horticultural range in the Irish market.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, competitive aspiring sales person to succeed within a growing business where full administrative support will be provided. The package offers a basic salary, expenses and a strong incentive based commission structure.
The Role:
• Responsibility for selling our specialist plant range to the retail and trade sector throughout the Republic of Ireland.
• Engage retail (prospect) inquiries and take them to completion.
• Developing new trade accounts and generating your own leads
• Track potential projects and sales leads (CRM systems).
• Pricing / Tendering.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients and landscapers as required in relation to specifications, sample requirements and placement of orders.
• Co-ordinate logistics in relation to 'Supply and Plant' projects.
• Provide full after sales support and advisory service.
• Co-ordinate and execute marketing activities of the business.
Requirements:
• should possess a confident knowledge of general horticulture.
• must be presentable & exhibit excellent written and communication skills.
• should be highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
• must have the ability to work alone and in a team environment.
• should have some field sales experience.
• should have good working knowledge of mainstream shrubs and trees including suitable growing conditions.
• knowledge of the Nursery and Landscape Industry would be an advantage, although product training will be provided.
• must possess IT skills including MS Office & Social Media skills.
• must have a full, clean drivers licence.
• must have own transport.
