Communications Manager for Belfast based leading utilities supplier. Permanent role. Office based. Your new company The largest local natural gas distribution network. Your new role As Communications Manager you will provide a comprehensive and cost-effective communications service; encompassing, internal and external communications PR and community relations, operating both in support and as a driver to the meeting of the Company objectives. You will lead the operation of an effective press and PR office, manage crisis PR issues and the risk to the company, manage the development and implementation of a high performing CSR strategy, support the delivery of an inclusive service across all consumer communications, measure and monitor performance of the department against targets and provide timely and regular reports and arrange exhibition displays and major launch activities as required in order to support and develop the marketing strategy. You will assist in the development of the company marketing strategy, co-ordinate, control and monitor Communications and Corporate Affairs expenditure, support on fundraising and publicity relating to the charity trust, ensure the database is compliant with current GDPR requirements and promotion of Equal Opportunities and for Health, Safety and Environmental issues. What you'll need to succeed Degree/Equivalent in marketing, communications, public relations or related business discipline, a minimum of 3 years' experience in handling of relevant corporate affairs type activities, experience of effectively communicating with a broad spectrum of stakeholders to include business, community and political stakeholders and experience of budget management and the delivery of cost-effective communication solutions. Desirable if you have experience of working in a small flexible marketing/communications department and strong analytical and project management skills. What you'll get in return Salary of £35,000-£40,000 + 10-15% on target annual performance bonus and annual salary review, contributory pension scheme, life assurance, 20 days annual leave + 11 stats, free staff transport and free car parking. Normal hours of work are 37 per week. Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm, although given this role will be dealing with crisis PR issues, a level of flexibility in hours will be required.
