Our client a busy boutique in Kilkenny City currently has a job available for an Assistant Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Retail Manager you will be responsible for managing the team and the store in the absence of the Manager.
Main duties to include:

* Maximise overall store sales and profit performance as per targets set.
* Ability to assist the Retail Manager by overseeing the shop team tasks and the day to day running of the shop floor in their absence.
* Drive customer service standards along with store display and merchandising
* Liaise with Shop Manager on a daily basis to ensure that, all areas are kept at optimum stock levels based on forecasted sales, seasonality and scheduled promotions.
* Liaise with staff on company policy and procedure and ensure staff commitment and compliance
* Strong commercial awareness with a Customer Service approach.
* Inspiring your store team to drive sales and deliver the finest level of customer service.
* Updating Social Media platforms with relevant content in relation to new stock etc.
* To achieve and seek to exceed personal sales targets across product lines
* Deal effectively with all customer enquiries, in an efficient and courteous manner, solving any problems as quickly as possible in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Assist management by overseeing goods inward, stock control and stock taking, ensuring they are carried out in line with company policies

Requirements:

* 2 plus years Retail Sales Supervisory role / Assistant manager role.
* Will be extremely customer focused, friendly and results driven.
* A strong track record in retail selling.
* Will have strong visual merchandising skills.
* Good organisational skills with set clear goals
* Excellent customer service skills and in building good relationships with the customers, team and suppliers
* Great communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills
* Strong commercial awareness with a Customer Service approach.
* People management skills
* Have the skillset to be confident in communicating with the customer, instore and online using digital / social media platforms.
