Abrivia Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Direct Marketing Manager for a leading Insurance company. This role has a lot of autonomy and you will be working with one of the leading companies in it’s field that have a renowned marketing brand.

The Role

For this role you will be upselling through the marketing channels; working on everything from renewals to identifying new business opportunities; grow the marketing area through the PMI book whilst managing the team.

For this role, you must be strong on data analysis as well as being all round commercial marketing manager. You will be expected to push campaigns; direct change whilst building direct marketing campaigns. A lot of sales are online- what other methods can you use? You will be expected to identify target audiences- measuring pre and post campaigns. You will also be managing a team of 4 executives.

For this role you must be technically proficient; deliver marcomms through marketing channels. In essence you will be driving brand; retention and renewal documentation; work on the full marketing process whilst managing others.

Key Responsibilities

Planning:

Together with the Head of Marketing, develop the annual DM plan.

Create detailed communications plans for targeted customer segments to deliver on commercial objectives including, retention, x-sell & upsell.

Coordinate the full range of direct communications, ensuring that the frequency of contact and alignment in messaging is optimised.

Recommend an approach to the automation of DM processes (i.e. the potential deployment of a CRM System).

Execution:

Together with the Head of Marketing (and with a dotted line to the Head of Analytics), oversee the development of the Market Segmentation Model, including reviewing the opportunity to sub-segment to achieve objectives.

Interrogate the organisation strategy to identify the target audience for each campaign and the targeting criteria to be applied.

In extracting the data file for each campaign:

– Ensure that customer preferences have been adhered to so that we comply with regulatory requirements (CPC and Data Protection).

– Be aware of and manage other complexities (e.g. Multiple coversets, split policies and billing arrangements).

Oversee the development of copy and the development of guidelines and templates for same.

Key Requirements

3 years experience in DM and/ or Database Analytics, preferably in Financial Services.

Understanding of all areas of direct marketing, i.e. has extensive experience and knowledge of developing, implementing and managing direct marketing strategies (including digital marketing).

Experience must go down to the campaign level and he/she must therefore understand the production and administrative processes that are part of a direct marketing campaign.

Analytically oriented, good understanding of key business drivers of direct marketing results and overall financial goals such as profitability or return on investment.
